Exquisite Auto Creations hit me up for a new logo that was to represent their work. I stopped by their shop a few times to just get a feel for what they do and instantly I was amazing at their skill-sets. Just complete rebuilds on old cars that you can barely get parts for anymore, thus forcing them to machine and manufacture from scratch. So, I developed the logo below to encapsulate the classical era with a badge styled logo/body, script writing and a bit of modern touch with the illustration of the body hammers that they actually use. I also felt it was necessary to have the machined-out holes with-in one of the strokes to give off a custom feel. Well really, all elements of this logo are supposed to play off of each other in-order to put off that custom feel.
This project was somewhat tough as it involved a solid day of research – I’m super happy with the final results, as are they. I hope you enjoy.

It’s been a super busy last few weeks over here… I’m finishing up a huge site layout for the good fellows at FOE jam.com, logo/branding for Exquisite Auto Creations, and I just dialed in a few pieces for a nice little display situated at Serious Coffee in Campbell River, BC.
I love it when local professionals reach out and lend a hand to better those around them. There most definitely needs to be more of this in a world such as today.

The guys at Cinderbloc Studio came to me with possible visions of what they had in mind for the branding of their newly developed space. So I took what they had and fused it with a ton of my love.
What came to be is what you see below: The logo was constructed around the two primary elements that laid upon their studio; wood and cinder blocks. The hand-written form for “Cinder” was created to represent the intricate swirly-patterns found within wood and the second portion, “bloc” was meant to with-hold the solid formation of a cinderbloc/cement. From there the site just fell into place, keeping all elements simple, clean, and tasteful.
Chainlink Clothing is a project that’s been underway for quite sometime, but in the last 3 months its progress has exploded; as far as aligning all necessary elements in-order for a world wide launch.

So, basically the last month and a bit was spent plugging away at this chair on and off; finally, it’s done. (2b/6b graphite/pigma felt/water-based marker)
I can never explain why I do most of the things that I do; my judgement and life choices are mostly based off of feeling, I hardly ever use logic, which I’m sure has caused me to miss out on more than a few opportunities. But in the end I know that I’m happier than what could have been, yeah know? …With that said, I saw this chair in my fathers storage-bay and just felt so damn compelled to completely cover it with different shades of graphite and then coat it with black to create a sense of surreal-contrast.
This particular art project is the beginning of one major one that will fully encapsulate bmx culture and fine art through my own eyes as a self-published hardcover book. I’ll be posting a ton on this project later on as it unfolds… enjoy this for now.

…for the last month, I’ve been plugging away at the new foe mag website… this project ended being one that you could only really do 6-8 hours days working or else you would hit a dead end visually and functionality wise. I spent a ton of time sketching out structures and concepts that really helped to tie in this sites personality. I wanted to bring foe mag up to speed on what it really should be visually and sensually, but at the same time it had to be designed and pieced together for major growth in the coming months-years. There’s a lot of back-end-code that will allow me to flip a switch and double the sites work load and step up the visuals if the plain-jane appearance expires sooner then expected.
enjoy, as I did creating it… www.foemag.com
I’ve just finished up and released a website for pro ski/mtb photographer, Nicolas Teichrob, based out of the Sunshine Coast. We combined styles and added a bit of “fine art” flare here and there. I also set up two different themed galleries ranging from “colour-coded” to “by-subject. Each gallery page has been carefully structured and sculpted using the gallery thumbnails to take on abstract forms using negative space. Definitely unique for a photographer site, so we were more then pumped to launch this site to the world. Enjoy.

New logo/branding for the good fellows at Cinderbloc Studio based in Vic, BC…Site soon to come…Check back later.

Some of my more recent fine art work was featured on a new community art blog based out of the u-s-of-a. enjoy.
I’ve been so busy dialing in 3 sites and a few branding jobs, that I forgot to take a little time to myself. I spent some time working on this graphite/conte piece I call, ” If you can’t dance then please leave!” (36×24) … enjoy!
I know it’s been a while since my last post, but I do have a legit excuse! I’ve been somewhat busy dialing in logos, websites and shooting/writing articles for FOE Mag’s issue 3 pumping out in early Nov 2011. Keep checking back here or join me on Facebook for more real time updates
I recently picked up a sheet of stone-henge for a personal piece, but on the drive home things got a little hairy and the sheet was destroyed due to toppling cargo.
SO! …I combined a few crappier sheets and stuffed them with recycled paper to make this funny little fighting pickle man.
…Don’t ask!….
